Identify True Heat Events
It is crucial inseminators can accurately determine if an animal is in heat, and so inseminate her in a timely manner.
Events such as hoof trim, pregnancy check, or group changes can cause a spike in an animal's activity levels. This can falsely influence heat detection. When making decisions on which animals to inseminate, it is important to take into account recent events, other than heat detection, that may have triggered her inclusion in the Animals for Insemination report.
In the heat indicator graph events are displayed along the time line to help you determine if changes in the animal's behavior, which are used to determine a heat event, are actually a result of her heat cycle, or a false alert caused by a recent event such as a pregnancy check, hoof trim, or group change. See Heat Indicator Graph for more information.
